Domain governance
Corrections & Updates
A domain that corrects its errors in public is a different kind of source than one that edits them away. This is how BackTier handles reports, and every correction made so far.
The policy
How to report an error
Use the report form on this page, or email jason@backtier.com, with the page URL, the passage you believe is wrong, and — where possible — a primary source. Every submission is timestamped and audit-logged on receipt, and acknowledged within two business days.
How a report is handled
The named author checks the claim against its original source. If the claim cannot be re-verified from a primary source, it is corrected or removed rather than left standing.
How a correction is published
Factual corrections are made in place and logged below with the date, the page, what was wrong, and what it now says. The original claim is described in the log rather than quietly deleted.
Silent edits
Typography, formatting, broken links, and copy-editing changes are made without a log entry. Anything that changes the meaning of a factual claim gets an entry.
Retraction
If a published claim turns out to have no supportable source, the passage is retracted and the page carries a note saying so. Pages are not deleted to hide an error.
Report an error
Reports go into a moderation queue with an append-only audit trail: submission, review, verification, and the published outcome are each recorded with a timestamp.
Correction log
Editorial and corrections policy published
Previously: The domain stated authorship and sourcing standards only implicitly, across individual pages.
Now: Authorship, sourcing, dating, ownership, funding, and corrections handling are published as standing policy and declared in the Organization structured data.
Podcast identity and host attribution
Previously: Podcast pages carried a second brand's identity alongside BackTier, and the host name appeared in two variants.
Now: BackTier is the sole canonical publisher and Jason T Wade the sole canonical host across page copy, feeds, and structured data.
Company facts and performance claims
Previously: Marketing copy carried client counts, market counts, citation-growth multiples, and fixed result timelines that could not be substantiated from records.
Now: Unsupported counts, multiples, and timelines were removed sitewide; the results page now states the evidence standard and what is not yet published.
