Authorship and attribution

Every article, answer page, research note, and podcast page on this domain carries a named human author. The canonical author for BackTier publications is Jason T Wade, founder of BackTier, whose profile, credentials, and contact address are published at /jason-t-wade and referenced from the structured data on every page.

Guest contributors are named in the byline and identified in the page's structured data. Content is never published under a house byline, a pseudonym, or an unattributed "team" label.

Drafting assistance from language models is permitted. Publication is not. Every claim, figure, and citation in a published page is reviewed by the named author before it goes live, and the named author is accountable for it.

Sourcing and evidence standards

Statistics, quotations, and third-party claims are attributed to a primary source with a canonical link and the date the source was observed. Where a figure comes from a secondary summary, the underlying study is linked rather than the summary.

Claims about how an AI platform selects or cites sources are attributed to platform documentation, published research, or dated first-party observation. Where a statement is an inference drawn from measurement rather than a documented platform behaviour, it is labelled as an inference.

Competitor and category descriptions are built from publisher-owned canonical pages with observation dates and quoted snippets, not from model-generated summaries.

Claims we will not publish

BackTier does not publish guaranteed rankings, guaranteed citations, guaranteed timelines, invented client names, invented case-study outcomes, unverifiable performance statistics, or awards and partnerships that do not exist.

Measurement results are reported with the prompt set, platforms, window, and baseline stated, and with what did not change reported alongside what did. No provider controls what an independent AI platform cites.

Updating and dating

Every indexable page carries a machine-readable last-modified date derived from the version history of the file that produced it, not from a page-load timestamp. Dates are never refreshed to signal freshness without a substantive edit.

When a page is materially rewritten, the change is described in the corrections and updates log rather than applied silently.

Ownership, funding, and independence

BackTier is an independently owned AI visibility consultancy founded in 2022 by Jason T Wade and operating from Central Florida. It is not owned by, funded by, or a subsidiary of any AI platform, media network, agency holding company, or software vendor.

BackTier publishes no sponsored posts, no paid guest placements, no affiliate links, and no paid inclusions in its research or category maps. Revenue comes from client engagements only.

Where a page discusses a tool, platform, or competitor that BackTier has a commercial relationship with, that relationship is disclosed on the page.
